Georgia Brown, director of European Originals, announced Oscar Prol will be Amazon’s new head of Unscripted Content in Spain.

Present in Madrid a month ago to introduce Amazon’s new original productions in Spain, Georgia Brown, director of European Originals at Amazon Studios, had shared plans to hire local executives for the company’s scripted and unscripted divisions.

And now, present at the Edinburgh TV Festival, she revealed one of the positions has been filled.

Oscar Prol has been appointed to the role of head of Unscripted Content for Amazon in Spain.

Prol has a long track record in Spain, working in companies such as Boxfish TV and Warner Bros. International Television Production.

The search for a scripted content director in Spain is still ongoing, she revealed.

Along with the appointment of Oscar Prol, Georgia Brown announced other hires in Germany, France and Italy.

In Italy, Amazon hired Nicole Morganti to supervise the unscripted area, while Thomas Dubois will do the same in France.

They join the UK team, which was already formed by Dan Grabiner (unscripted) and Lydia Hampson (scripted).
