Founded with former TelevisaUnivision executives José Morales and Karen Padín, and creative executive and media entrepreneur Mari Urdaneta, the boutique talent management company brings a strategic, personalized approach to building long-term careers for Latino talent across the U.S. and Mexico.
Alejandra Espinoza and Julián Gil are expanding their roles in the entertainment industry, joining forces with longtime mentors and industry leaders José Morales, Karen Padín and Mari Urdaneta to launch M²AGIK Group, a boutique talent management company focused on helping a select roster of Latino talent across entertainment, sports, media and culture navigate today’s evolving media landscape through a more intentional, strategic and hands-on approach to career development.
“In today’s industry, talent alone is not enough. We need more than a platform; we need clear vision, smart strategy and partners who understand the bigger picture,” said Alejandra Espinoza. “That’s what turns potential into something truly meaningful.”
“I’ve experienced this industry from every angle, as a talent, producer and entrepreneur,” added Julián Gil. “What talent needs today is guidance rooted in real experience, perspective and a clear sense of direction in order to navigate today’s evolving media landscape. That’s exactly why we created M²AGIK.”
Built from the trusted relationships that have helped shape Espinoza and Gil’s professional growth, M²AGIK Group brings together a rare combination of experience in front of and behind the camera, executive leadership, creative production, strategy, operations, and brand development.
Morales and Padín were executives at TelevisaUnivision for more than 30 years, while Urdaneta, founder of the production company 200% Media, has established herself as a creative executive and entrepreneur focused on connecting Hollywood, the U.S. Hispanic market, and Ibero-America.
“After decades of developing talent, negotiating major opportunities and understanding this industry from the inside, we learned something essential: visibility can open doors, but lasting careers are not simply managed; they are architected,” noted founders and managing partners Karen Padín and José Morales. “M²AGIK was born from that conviction: to guide talent with the experience, strategy and relationships needed to turn opportunities into long-term value.”
“I’ve dedicated my career to transforming ideas into content with real impact,” shared Mari Urdaneta. “At M²AGIK, we’re combining creativity, execution and a deep understanding of the business to develop talent and intellectual property with real value. The difference isn’t just in what gets created, but in who has the ability to turn it into legacy.”
Collectively, the founding team brings experience across every side of the business, from talent and production to executive leadership, communications and brand development, with backgrounds spanning major media organizations including TelevisaUnivision, Telemundo, NBCUniversal, VH1 and Viacom.
Positioning itself as a strategic and creative partner rather than a traditional representation firm, M²AGIK Group combines hands-on management with consulting across endorsements, licensing and crisis management to support a select roster of Latino talent across the U.S. and Mexico.
With a forward-looking approach that integrates emerging technologies, including AI, the company aims to help talent build multidimensional careers with long-term relevance and impact.
