The deal with Millicom was closed by Frida Media Group thanks to a representation agreement with Thema America.
Frida Media Group announced an agreement with telecommunications company Millicom for Kanal D Drama to join Tigo’s operations in Latin America.
Frida Media Group represents the Turkish drama channel through an agreement with Thema America, which operates the channel through a joint venture with Kanal D International.
“At the end of 2020, we were able to move forward with a firm and concrete proposal with Millicom executives to add another of the channels of our portfolio to their grid, thus enabling Kanal D Drama to reach Tigo’s operations throughout the region”, said Marcelo Bresca, director of Frida Media.
“It was first launched in Panama, Costa Rica and Colombia with an excellent distribution and showing the potential and quality of the signal, and then landed in the territories of Bolivia, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Paraguay,” he added.

Kanal D Drama is the product of a strategic partnership between Kanal D International and Thema America.
The channel offers Turkish series dubbed into Spanish and is already available in countries such as the US, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay.
