The first season reached 64 million viewers, with seven out of 10 Mexican households following the program each week.

EndemolShine Boomdog celebrated the successful conclusion of MasterChef Mexico 24/7 last week, marking a milestone for the Banijay Entertainment format by becoming the world’s first live 24/7 version of MasterChef.

MasterChef Mexico 24/7 premiered on May 17 simultaneously on TV Azteca and Disney+ and concluded with a grand finale on Sunday, August 30. During the season, the program reached 64 million viewers, while seven out of 10 Mexican households followed the series week after week, according to HR Media data reported by ACAM.

In the digital realm, MasterChef 24/7 also recorded outstanding results, with 2.3 billion impressions and more than 51 million interactions across MasterChef Mexico’s social media channels.

“We are thrilled with the outcome of the world’s first live, 24/7 version of MasterChef, and especially proud that Mexico was the country where it became a reality. The Mexican audience’s response and the confidence shown by our partners—TV Azteca and Disney+—were key to the project’s success,” stated Frank Scheuermann, Chief Content Officer at EndemolShine Boomdog.

“It was a major challenge for everyone involved, and we are incredibly proud to see how the audience embraced this new model, connected with the contestants, and immersed themselves even further in the world of MasterChef. We wanted to bring the audience closer to the culinary process without losing the essence or excitement of the competition, and we believe we succeeded.”

Distributed internationally by Banijay Entertainment, MasterChef is recognized by Guinness World Records as the most successful cooking format in the world.
