Proposals can be submitted through the RTVE Promueve platform, while the corporation is keeping the first call for submissions for the RTVE Talent Award for Best Animated Short Film open until August 5.
RTVE launched its second call for animation submissions for 2026, aimed at producers interested in presenting animated series projects for broadcast on the group’s channels and digital platforms, with a special focus on the children’s channel Clan. The submission period will be open from July 24 to October 16.
This initiative is part of the public broadcaster’s strategy to reinforce its commitment to the Spanish animation industry and continue the model of open calls for submissions to identify new content aimed at children and families.
The new call for entries comes just days after the signing of a collaboration agreement between RTVE and the professional associations DIBOOS and PROA, whose objective is to boost the sector’s growth, foster the development of new projects, and contribute to increasing the production and quality of animated works produced in Spain.
In addition, RTVE is accepting submissions until August 5 for the newly created RTVE Talent Award for Best Animated Short Film, an initiative designed to support emerging creators and strengthen the animation production ecosystem in the country.
In the first animation call for entries this year, which closed last May, RTVE selected five animated projects for broadcast on the group’s channels and digital platforms: Pico Pico, Bin Buddies – Los reciclamigos, Los niños del norte, Fantasy Riders, and the second season of Mironins.
The opening of this second call comes after the selection, at the beginning of this year, of five new children’s series to be added to the RTVE catalog, consolidating the corporation’s commitment to expanding its offering of nationally produced animated content.
