ViX announces the premiere of its new original series, Una Familia Complicada a drama infused with humor and suspense arriving exclusively on ViX Premium on June 26. Spanning 20 episodes, the series dives into dark secrets, family tensions, and complex power dynamics surrounding one of the most influential families in Orizaba, Veracruz.
Set in the traditional city of Orizaba, the story follows the Navarro family, for whom prestige and appearances are everything. However, following the sudden death of Engineer Alberto Navarro (Marco Treviño), the family’s carefully maintained façade of perfection begins to crack.
From that point on, Doña Telma (Adriana Barraza), the family matriarch and a key figure in building the family’s status, takes complete control of the family, its fortune, and the reputation that has taken years to establish. Determined to preserve the family’s legacy, she must confront the conflicts among her children, whose lives are marked by betrayal, ambition, and decisions that bring them dangerously close to crime.
Amid secrets, deception, marriages of convenience, and forbidden relationships, the family finds itself caught in a spiral of chaos where no one is innocent. Yet Doña Telma’s greatestchallenge does not come from those around her, but from within: the progression of Alzheimer’s disease, a silent threat that could erase both her memory and the secrets holding her family together.
Una Familia Complicada is a provocative story that reveals what lies behind every perfect family: a truth far more unsettling than anyone would care to admit.
