The Spanish platform will reorganize its sports offering to broadcast all 104 FIFA World Cup matches through special channels under the DAZN Mundial brand.
Movistar Plus+ is preparing record-breaking coverage for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with the launch of four temporary channels dedicated exclusively to the tournament, which will take place across the United States, Mexico and Canada.
The Spanish platform will restructure its sports lineup during the World Cup to air all 104 matches through channels branded as DAZN Mundial, following its agreement with DAZN for the tournament’s full broadcasting rights.
The channels will be branded as DAZN Mundial, DAZN Mundial 2, DAZN Mundial 3 and DAZN Mundial 4, temporarily replacing existing domestic football channels. The main channel will be available on channel 55, while the second feed will air on channel 58. The additional channels will be activated on channels 173 and 174 to accommodate simultaneous matches and expanded programming needs.
The four-channel structure responds to the expanded format of the 2026 World Cup, which will feature 48 national teams and a total of 104 matches. Movistar Plus+ expects particularly high demand during the final rounds of the group stage, when several games will be played simultaneously.
In addition to the match channels, the company will also launch Fanzone por M+, a temporary editorial channel focused on complementary content including interviews, documentaries, analysis and special programs produced by La Casa del Fútbol. The channel will be available from May 26 through July 21 on channel 57.
Movistar Plus+ had already confirmed months ago that it would offer all 2026 World Cup matches to subscribers with football packages, including special coverage and exclusive tournament-related content.
