The production and distribution company was present at LA Screenings with a selection of content from the genre, led by its latest super production, La última semana de Jesus.

Produced by Luis Cabrera, from Los Angeles.

In a year of growth and evolution for the group, VIP 2000 TV made its presence felt at LA Screenings with a robust content offering, led by its mega-production, La última semana de Jesus.

“With La última semana de Jesus, we are truly thrilled,” began Roxana Rotundo, CEO of the company, in an interview with ttvnews during the event in Los Angeles.

“We will be in theaters this October, in 200 theaters in Mexico, 300 in Brazil, and 50 in Latin America,” she revealed.

Directed by Nicholas Di Blasi, with Ricardo Álamo as director of photography, César Sierra in production design, and executive produced by Roxana Rotundo, Rosalind Rotundo, and Mayu Muci, the film offers an intimate, human, and cinematic look at the events that marked Jesus’ last week.

This is another addition to VIP 2000 TV’s commitment to biblical content, joining the vertical series María y José, Moisés & Séfora, Sansón & Dalila and Juan Bautista & Salomé, produced in conjunction with Telemundo Studios.

“We want to focus heavily on this content, without any evangelistic intent, because these are inspiring stories that are needed right now,” explained the executive.

“In vertical series, drama is the most common genre, and you can have very different levels of production. We’re targeting this niche, something VIP does well, and it’s what makes the difference,” she added.

“On the historical side, we’re going to continue with a second film that we’ll announce soon, and we’re also going to produce current content, romantic comedy, but with that faith-based approach, which works very well with Latin American audiences,” she concluded.
