Record TV announced at Content Americas that among its 2026 highlights is the remastering of the hit telenovela La esclava Isaura, which will be available in 4K with 5.1 sound.
This was shared with ttvnews by Delmar Andrade, Record TV’s Director of International Sales. “The big news this year is the remastering of La esclava Isaura, which moves to 4K, adds 5.1 sound, and receives new color grading. It’s a brand-new novela, with a story everyone already knows,” he said.
According to the executive, there is great anticipation within the company for this new phase of La esclava Isaura. “Bringing the most important classic in our library into a different, large, powerful space, just as the novela was throughout the 20 years since its release,” Andrade highlighted.
Growing sports programming
The Brazilian giant continues to back its Seriella biblical series catalog, alongside all its long-standing, proven titles. However, in 2025 the company also achieved strong results with its move into sports content.
“2025 was very fascinating for us, favorable, because we went deep into football. Today, we have sports programming on our channel, with the acquisition of major championships such as those in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. We are returning to sports, mainly and especially football, which is the most beloved and most fiercely followed sport we have in Brazil,” Andrade commented.
Regarding his view of the industry, the Record TV executive noted that there is concern in the market about what lies ahead in 2026–2027. “We hope to be able to add some positive value and offer the market what we have,” he concluded.
