During MIP Junior, executive producer Elisa Bogalheiro presented the first children’s animation project from Idé Productions, a Brazilian studio seeking to position itself in the international market with musical content aimed at preschool audiences.
“We’re presenting a very musical series in which each episode follows the adventures of tiny creatures who live among plants and inside a house. As in all of Latin America, music plays a central role in our storytelling,” said Bogalheiro, who works between Portugal, Spain, and Brazil, maintaining strong connections with Latin America.
Bogalheiro explained that their presence at the market serves a dual purpose: to showcase the new project and to better understand the evolution of children’s content consumption. “MIP Junior is a smaller, more intimate market, which makes it easier to exchange ideas directly with major players and understand what they’re looking for today. Platforms are transforming viewing habits — children no longer watch what adults decide for them; they choose what truly interests them,” she noted.
The producer also emphasized the importance of analyzing platform-driven data and audience trends. “MIP Junior is the perfect space to test our ideas against real market insights. Platforms hold the key information about what children want, and that helps us guide our productions more effectively.”
This project marks a new stage for Idé Productions, which is investing in preschool content with a local cultural identity and global reach. With this initiative, the studio joins a growing wave of emerging Latin American animation producers aiming to strengthen their presence in the international content landscape.
