FilmRise, a New York City-based film and television studio and streaming network, announces the debut of a proprietary AI initiative designed to convert standard definition content to high definition. This initiative will launch with the renowned true crime franchise series, Forensic Files, which FilmRise distributes through a long-term arrangement with IP owner Content Partners LLC.
The company’s technology team, led by CTO Thibault Hermenault, has developed a process that combines commercially available AI tools with the precision of its expert in-house editorial team, successfully upconverting thousands of hours of content to pristine HD quality.

FilmRise seeks out collaborative distribution partnerships and exclusives such as the kind that produced a 4K version of the popular indie comedy, Party Girl or that resulted in the acquisition of Classic TV Western series Death Valley Days in HD.
