The 23rd edition of the awards will take place September 3 at Starlite Marbella and will air for the first time in Spain on RTVE.
Premios Juventud is preparing for its first European edition, with a ceremony set to take place Thursday, September 3, at Starlite Marbella in Spain. TelevisaUnivision has announced a strategic partnership with RTVE and Starlite Music Group to bring the event to Spanish audiences for the first time.
The ceremony will be hosted by Spanish television personality Jesús Vázquez, who joins returning presenters Alejandra Espinoza and Clarissa Molina. RTVE will broadcast the event in Spain, expanding the international reach of one of the leading celebrations of Latin music and pop culture.
One of the highlights of this year’s edition will be the recognition of Antonio Banderas, who will receive the Agent of Change award for his commitment to education, social action, and community development.
The award recognizes artists who use their platforms to create social impact and inspire new generations. In Banderas’ case, TelevisaUnivision highlights his work through the Lágrimas y Favores Foundation, established in Málaga in 2010 to support cultural and educational initiatives as well as social organizations.
The foundation has supported initiatives involving the University of Málaga, CUDECA, AECC, Cáritas, Fundación El Pimpi, and the Economato Social Corinto, among others.
Banderas also co-hosts the Starlite Gala with Sandra García-Sanjuán, a charity event organized by the Starlite Foundation. According to TelevisaUnivision, the gala has raised more than €4 million across its 17 editions for various social initiatives, including Niños en Alegría, which has contributed to the construction of 41 schools in Mexico and benefited more than 75,000 children.
A partnership to expand Premios Juventud in Europe
The partnership between TelevisaUnivision, Starlite Music Group, and RTVE aims to further expand Premios Juventud internationally and connect Latin American and European audiences through music and pop culture.
The Spanish broadcast will kick off with Noche de Estrellas de Premios Juventud, the red-carpet pre-show featuring interviews, behind-the-scenes access, musical performances, and fashion coverage.
In the United States, the ceremony will air live on Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavisión, ViX, and YouTube, while in Mexico it will air on Canal 5.
Jesús Vázquez joins the European edition as host. The presenter holds the Guinness World Record for hosting the most Spanish-language television formats and is one of the most recognized figures in Spanish television.
He will be joined by Alejandra Espinoza, who will host Premios Juventud for the seventh time, and Emmy Award-winning presenter and actress Clarissa Molina, who returns as host for the fourth time after leading the 2025 edition in Panama.
