Still enjoying the success of its Traitors format, which has 30 international editions and a Latin American version that they hope to “announce soon,” All3Media International came to Content Americas to demonstrate the power of its catalog of formats.
“In this market we are excited to present three very strong formats,” Yari Torres, VP for Latam at All3Media International, told ttvnews. “One of them is called Turn on the Charm, which I think is a format that has a very good opportunity for sponsorships,” she added. It is a dating show where six women and six men meet on a road trip, and at each stop they compete together to win a prize.
“The next format is called Bad Boyfriends,” the executive continued. “It’s a reality show where girls volunteer their boyfriends. The boyfriends think it’s a competition to be more macho, but in reality it’s that the girls are fed up with them behaving badly and want to reform them. The boys live in a very precarious house while the girls live in a spectacular mansion. And the most reformed boyfriend will win a vacation for the couple.”
Completing the trio of formats for the event, the distributor is presenting Lovers or Liars?, another dating format with a twist. “There are four couples, but only one is real,” Torres explained. “And a panel must determine which is the real couple. The other three couples compete to make the panel believe that they are the real ones to win a prize and overcome different challenges. It’s very fun, super healthy for the whole family.”
Continuing with the unscripted genre, All3Media is presenting Madonna, “one of the strongest titles,” according to the executive. “It’s an investigation into her life and how she became Madonna. We have incredible access with contributions from her brother, schoolmates, etc. It’s very interesting to see how she became the feminist and icon that she is, and it gives you a more human view of the person, getting to know her as a human being.”
Regarding fiction, the executive highlighted the second season of Black Snow, starring Travis Fimmel.
