Chilean network Mega has opened a casting call for contestants to participate in the revival of the Sony Pictures Television format.
In late July, Chilean newspaper La cuarta revealed that Mega would bring back the Sony Pictures Television format Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
And now, the network not only confirmed the rumors, but also opened a casting call for participants.
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? originally aired in Chile on Canal 13.
Its return to Chilean screens is part of a generalized revival for the format, which has returned with new versions in the UK, Spain and Argentina, becoming a ratings’ success, going from 22 episodes ordered to 60.
The format is produced by Sony Pictures Television and has been adapted in over 120 countries around the world.
The show offers members of the public the opportunity to win a millionaire figure. For this, each participant will have the opportunity to answer 15 questions on the way to the grand prize, using the known tools of the show: the question to the audience, 50/50 and some new lifeguards, such as +1 – when the participant can ask for the their companion’s help – and a final wildcard that can be activated from level 10, during which audience members who know the answer can stand up and the participant select three of them to help him.
