Bad Dogs Productions, Viringo Media, and Glowstar Media announce that the film has been added to the HBO Max catalog in Latin America.
La fianza (The Bond), the debut feature from director Gonzalo Perdomo-Tafur, has been acquired by Warner Bros. Discovery for distribution in Latin America through HBO.
The film is a co-production between Bad Dogs Productions (Spain) and Viringo Media Producciones (Colombia), with Glowstar Media handling the international representation and distribution.
Following its theatrical release in Spain on December 5, 2024, and its participation in international Festivals such as the Almería International Film Festival (FICAL), the Granada Film Festival, and the Ischia Global Film Festival in Italy, La fianza established itself within the international circuit.
In April 2025, the film premiered in Colombia across more than 50 theaters nationwide, reaffirming its strong connection to the director’s and cast’s home country. Currently, the film continues its international journey with Glowstar Media, expanding into new territories and platforms.
La fianza tells the story of Ana (Juana Acosta), who, after celebrating her daughter’s birthday, receives an unexpected visit from Walter (Julián Román), a stranger demanding to know the whereabouts of her husband, Ricardo (Israel Elejalde).
What begins as an awkward conversation quickly escalates into a high-stakes situation: Walter decides to hold Ana and her daughter “as collateral” while Ricardo negotiates with a dangerous drug organization. Written by Andrés Martorell and Gonzalo Perdomo-Tafur, the film masterfully blends psychological tension, social critique, and dark humor, captivating both audiences and critics alike.
