The pavilion will provide a space to showcase diverse content and foster strategic connections at one of the most important events in the global audiovisual market.

The Worldwide Audiovisual Women Association (WAWA) is proud to announce its participation in Mipcom 2024 with its first pavilion at the Palais de Festivals P-1.E18. The event will take place from October 21 to 24 in Cannes, France.

This year, WAWA’s pavilion will feature prestigious companies from the industry, including Latin Media, MGE, VIP 2000 TV, Universal Cinergia, and Pick One Media.

The pavilion will provide a space to showcase diverse content and foster strategic connections at one of the most important events in the global audiovisual market.

Jose Escalante from Latin Media: “Latin Media joins WAWA’s initiative to bring content from Latin America and Asia to Mipcom; it’s a great opportunity that WAWA provides to all Latin American distributors and producers.”

Esperanza Garay from MGE: “MGE arrives at Mipcom 2024 within WAWA’s pavilion with a solid catalog of new releases, including Al Sur del Corazón, a co-production between Netflix and Megamedia that reached the top 10 for two consecutive weeks; and successful reality show formats such as Tierra Brava and El gran chef famosos from Latina TV. MGE thus reinforces its position in the market with innovative productions that have broad international appeal.”

Rosalind Rotundo from VIP 2000 TV: “This year we are bringing our new telenovela filmed in Mexico, ‘Valentina Mi Amor Especial,’ whose protagonist is on the autism spectrum, along with ‘Kuma, La Otra Esposa.’ These are our two productions we will showcase at Mipcom, and we love being part of the Pavilion for the networking opportunities it represents.”

Elisa Equino from Universal Cinergia: “We are proud to be part of the WAWA pavilion at Mipcom, supporting women in the audiovisual sector. This aligns with our commitment to diversity and inclusion. With over 50 studios in regions like Brazil, the USA, Mexico, France, and Spain, we provide comprehensive multilingual dubbing solutions tailored to today’s dynamic content landscape. We aim to innovate in dubbing, voice-over, and subtitling, ensuring our clients’ content resonates culturally while preserving its original intent. We look forward to connecting with industry leaders at Mipcom.”

Mariana Fernandez from Pick One: “We’re excited to announce that Pick One will be showcasing at WAWA’s stand during Mipcom. We’ll be presenting our cutting-edge scripted content and entertainment formats, designed to captivate audiences and transform the market. Don’t miss the chance to discover the latest in entertainment with us. See you at Mipcom!”
