Five series and one movie are part of the original productions ViX is adding to its catalog, with themes ranging from drama, crime, suspense, and even comedy.
ViX will add more than 50 thousand hours of Spanish-language content to its catalog, producing six new original titles that have already begun recording and are exclusive to the streaming service. The titles to be added bring a varied range of genres: a comedy movie and five series with police dramas, reality shows, lifestyle dramas, and comedies. The new slate includes the following titles:
Es por tu bien (Movie, Comedy): Horrified by the new girlfriends of their respective sons, three sisters-in-law – Clara, a socialite; Matis, a widowed professional, and Nena, a naive housewife – ally to get rid of their undesirable daughters-in-law. Lucha de antojos (Reality Series, Lifestyle/Food): Eight top chefs, having worked at top restaurants around the country, will now make dishes for the ultimate consumer, people in the streets of Mexico City. Hosted by the social media sensation Chef Andres de Oliveira, the show will feature the competition of all eight chefs on the streets of Mexico City to see who can make the most iconic street food dishes that dominate the stomachs of people on the streets of Mexico. Who will come on top? The culinary trained chefs or the homemade authentic street chefs of dishes we all love. Production: VICE Studios. Cast: Andres de Oliveira (host). Oríllese a la orilla (Series, Comedy): A spinoff of the successful comedy “40 y 20,” tells the story of Brayan and Toña, who, after losing their jobs, decide to attend the police academy. There, they cut their hair and made them work harder than ever. When they are about to give up the dream of being a police officer, they find out that they will graduate faster due to the high demand for police officers on the streets. Toña and Brayan will have adventures and get into trouble throughout their journey in the police academy. Production: BTF.
