Produced by Copa 90 Studios, the documentary series tells the stories of every major sports rivalry in Mexican soccer.
Ganar es todo: Clásicos del fútbol is ViX’s new original series premiering on March 14 on the service’s premium plan. Each month, this documentary will offer a look at some of the most passionate, fierce and intense rivalries in Mexican soccer such as the Super Clasico between Club America and Chivas de Guadalajara and the Clasico Regiomontano between FC Monterrey and Tigres UANL.
Produced by Copa 90 Studios, the documentary series tells the stories of each major sports rivalry and presents the much broader story of how the communities have evolved and how they live today, despite their differences.
Ganar es todo: Clásicos del fútbol takes an unprecedented approach by immersing the audience in all of these spaces to tell a complete story of how and why these soccer games mean so much to everyone involved.
Each episode covers the build-up to the final clash between the clubs, tells the story of how the rivalries between the two teams have developed over time, analyzing key games and moments that feed the story and heighten the intensity.
Ganar es todo: Clásicos del fútbol shows how these rivals relegate their neighbors and defeat them on their own turf, going through epic finals, moments of glory and heartbreak, and indelible memories for fans.
Hearing from legends on all sides about what it means and how it feels to participate in these games, the series will uncover epic matches such as the 1983 semi-final between Club América and Chivas de Guadalajara, better known as La Bronca del 83 or the 2017 urban derby final between Rayados and Tigres, matches that resonate to this day. In addition, the series will focus on the fans’ experience, understanding what the games mean to them, how they relate to their teams and players and where they are from.
