The uncensored version of the eighth season will premiere exclusively on ViX in Mexico and the rest of Latin America
ViX, the Spanish-language streaming service owned by TelevisaUnivision, announced that, starting August 18, the eight seasons of the hit series El señor de los cielos will be available exclusively for streaming in Mexico and the rest of Latin America within the plan service premium.
The first episode of the saga that captivated audiences around the world will also be available to ViX free plan users for the first four weeks.
El Señor de los cielos tells the story of the most powerful drug trafficker of his time, Amado Carrillo Fuentes, who became head of the Juárez cartel and was nicknamed El Señor de los Cielos for using his fleet of planes to transport drugs. The story of a humble man who vowed to become the richest and most powerful man in drug trafficking in Mexico. In order to do so and maintain his power, he was capable of anything, even changing his face.
Based on an original idea by Andrés López López, The Lord of the Skies stars Rafael Amaya (El Chema, La reina del sur, Señora Acero), Carmen Aub (Nobody’s Woman, Relatives by Force, El Chema), Iván Arana (The Last King: The Son of the People, Empire of Lies) and Lisa Owen (Beyond You, Danyka). The series is a Telemundo Studios production.
