The sitcom, which was a top release for the brand in 2019, is set to premiere in 2021 on Comedy Central Latin America.
ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS) greenlit and kicked off the production of Se Rentan Cuartos. Critically acclaimed and fan-favorite, the show is Comedy Central’s first original sitcom produced in Mexico and was the best rated premiere of the brand’s original slate in 2019.
The new season of Se Rentan Cuartos will air on Comedy Central Latin America in 2021.
Se Rentan Cuartos follows the story of a wealthy family that ends up bankrupt, and after rejection from their social environment. They have no choice but to start a new life by sheltering in the only property they managed to save: a large, old house located in one of the most popular neighborhoods of the México City, which they turn into a guest house. Immersed in the world that they always despised from their privileged position, class struggle becomes a war and the family will learn lessons of simplicity, humility and brotherly love.
Se Rentan Cuartos has a star studded cast including Itatí Cantoral, María Chacón (Silvia Pinal, frente a ti), Irving Peña (El juego de las llaves, Señora Acero), among others.
