The President of the Creative Romanian Film Makers Association pointed out that Romania has been a perfect place to shoot films for many years.
Creative Romanian Film Makers Association participates in Natpe Miami to promote Romania’s potential for audiovisual development, in addition to the incentives that offer 30% rebate to production companies working in the country.
This was stated to ttvnews by Viorel Chesaru, president of Creative Romanian Film Makers Association, who pointed out that he represents a group of Romanian companies that make high-quality audiovisual developments. “The first thing we have to convey is the quality of the film products we can supply from Romania,” he said.
Chesaru assured us that big projects have been shot in Romania because of the location. “Even Oscar films and little by little, the industry grew. Now, as a country, we can also offer a 30% cash rebate incentive, which is much easier to access. We just started giving this incentive, a new law from last year,” he adds.
According to Chesaru, the companies represented through this group are very diverse. “These companies are in charge of production and post-production: creators, service companies, post-production companies, location, and design companies. We come here with a complete offer about creativity and the advantages of shooting in Romania.”
The Creative Romanian Film Makers Association representative pointed out, “Romania has been a perfect place to shoot films for many years. In the early 2000s, a lot of big American films were shot in Romania because of international Romanian production,” he concluded.
