The Hispanic US network announced it will host its upfront as scheduled in an online fashion on May 12.
Hispanic network Univision confirmed in the last hours that it will carry out its traditional upfront on May 12, as originally planned.
But, as expected, it will not be done with a live audience, but rather in an online format.
It will have the usual presentation of the programming and will also serve to present the company’s advertising plans in view of the Covid-19 crisis.
In addition, they highlighted, the results of a specific study on Hispanic consumers will be offered.
Univision thus becomes the second broadcaster to confirm its upfront in an online format, after NBCUniversal, which will do the same on May 11.
In the case of Univision, unlike what happens to broadcasters in almost all the world, the channel claims to have programming already ready to nurture its prime time for the whole year.
“Our content portfolio remains strong until 2021 thanks to a proven programming strategy that is based on our association with Televisa and strategic global acquisitions of our partners in Brazil, Colombia and Turkey,” Elisa Segovia, VP of Strategy, Programming and Research Department, told ttvnews.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the channel has modified its grid with more news and special programs, while being forced to cancel the 2020 edition of Pequeños Gigantes.
