Brazilian dramas Run For Your Lives and Once We Were Six premiered on Teledoce on January 3, joining the other Globo drama, A Mother’s Love, on the Uruguayan network’s screen.

Two new productions by Globo land in Uruguay this Monday, January 3rd. Run for Your Lives and Once We Were Six will air on the Teledoce channel, at 4 PM and 5PM, respectively, preceding another big Brazilian hit, A Mother’s Love, aired Mondays through Fridays at 06 PM.

Run for Your Lives follows the adventures of Alexia, Luna and Kyra (Déborah Secco, Juliana Paiva and Vitória Strada) the girls who, after witnessing a murder in Cancún, México, had to join the Witness Protection Program to escape the criminals. Back to Brazil, they take on new identities and pass to live in a small city in the countryside, leaving behind their lives and dreams. Maybe not so much. The production was audience leader in its slot in Brazil, with a 13% increase of audience compared to the previous show.

Once We Were Six shows the trajectory of the Lemos family across three different decades (1920, 1930 and 1940), inspired in the Book by Maria José Dupré, a Brazilian literature classic. The telenovela tells the story of Lola (Glória Pires), a stubborn mother willing to do anything so her four children stay united against social and economic hardships of the early 20th century.

“The plot revolves around the strength of this woman and her family, living out of few resources, but surrounded by affection”, says Angela Chaves, writer of the family saga, also a leader in its slot in Brazilian access primetime.

And, right after the period drama, Uruguayans will remain thrilled with the episodes of A Mother’s Love, an International Emmy nominee telenovela showing the strength of Lurdes (Regina Casé) in protecting her children and finding her son Domenico, in addition to learning more about the love of two other strong women, Telma (Adriana Esteves) and Vitória (Taís Araújo), who will do anything in the name of their love for their children.
