The successful format will premiere its Brazilian version on TV Globo during the second half of 2021.
At the end of April, Endemol Shine Brasil announced a partnership with Iessi Music Entertainment and Universal Music to produce a local adaptation of The Masked Singer in Brazil.
And now, it was revealed that the format will finally air on TV Globo, which joins the project as a co-producer. Its premiere will be during the second half of 2021 and will also be available on Multishow.
As already known, the Brazilian version will be hosted by Ivete Sangalo
With local versions in more than a dozen territories, The Masked Singer is an adaptation of the South Korean format King of Mask Singer, where big-name celebrities face off in a singing challenge, but each contestant is in costume, from head to toe.
With each performance, the host, judges and audience try to guess who the celebrity in disguise is, but only those eliminated from the week will show their true identity.
Its arrival in Brazil joins its local editions in various Latin American markets such as Colombia, Mexico or Peru, as well as Spain.
