TTV+ Buyers: What Are They Looking For?

Adrian Santucho, CCO of 360 POWWOW, spoke to TTV+ about the content they’re looking for in the international market.

TTVMedia, through its TTV+ platform and backed by Inter Medya, presents its Buyers: What Are They Looking For? initiative to find out more about international buyers’ programming needs.

The interviews were conducted through the base of over 5,000 buyers registered on TTV+, a 24/7 online marketplace where buyers can look through catalogs from thousands of companies, and in which distributors can contact them to close businesses.

This time, we present Adrian Santucho, CCO of 360 POWWOW

What kind of content are you looking for?

As you know the market is diversified but nevertheless we always try from Powwow not to betray ourselves. There is a phrase that we always repeat that is “To be pathologically different”. Try to find projects that differentiate us from the rest in terms of creativity, stories. That’s what we are looking for. The first goal is to be original, look for things that have a differential in the market beyond the genre.

What kind of stories are you looking for?

In terms of genre, I think that today we are focused on action melodrama. It is one of the genres that we realized was required and gained attention, and that due to the ability we have to work with our partners in Spain, Argentina or Mexico, we had approached that product.

We are always keeping an eye out for young adult content. Some dystopia stories that are not necessarily science fiction, but with powerful triggers to generate an emotional, social or personal dilemma or enigma. Without getting into the dystopia as such but seeing those triggers.

Any product that has worked well this year?

We continue to work with the traditional networks that are very important, in entertainment in particular. Telemundo and Univision with active projects now, also presenting other projects to Televisa. Working in what is Mexico and the US Hispanic with networks and platforms.

By genre, we have cooking products, which is also an original development with Sinapsis for one of the networks in the US. We have an international franchise that we also work representing in LatAm, in advanced conversations with various channels. Entertainment, game shows, shiny floor, which is our expertise.
