In the following interview with ttvnews, Arturo Chávez, Managing Director of Delart Distribution, shares what content they would like to add to their catalog for the international market.

In an industry as dynamic as the entertainment industry, it is essential to stay one step ahead of the latest trends and understand what the international market demands in terms of content.

To this end, ttvnews presents: “Buyers: What are buyers looking for?” Initiative to learn first-hand about the programming needs of buyers around the world.

This time, we spoke to Arturo Chávez, Managing Director of Delart Distribution:

What type of content is currently most in demand from your audience?

The most popular titles are action films featuring narco-related themes and corridos.

What kinds of content, formats, or genres do you look for at industry events?

We regularly look for catalogs of Spanish-language films. The larger the catalog, the better, because it makes delivery and metadata preparation much easier. The process is the same whether it’s a catalog of 20 or 50 films. We also look for recent films to strengthen our catalogs when offering new availabilities on platforms.

Where do you see the greatest growth potential for the company today, and how is that reflected in your programming strategy?

We are currently expanding into creating FAST channels, and we already have three: Mi Raza Canal, Mi Raza Canal Plus, and Mi Miedo Canal.

Is there any trend you are closely following in the market?

We’re keeping a close eye on micro-dramas and preparing a YouTube channel aimed at the Mexican audience.
