In the following interview with ttvnews, Fabiana Quinteiro, Acquisitions Coordinator at TV Cultura, shares what content they want to add to their catalog in the international market.
In an industry as evolving as the entertainment industry, it is imperative to stay one step ahead of the latest trends and know what the international market demands regarding content.
To this end, ttvnews presents the Buyers: What are buyers looking for? Initiative to learn first-hand about the programming needs of buyers around the world.
This time, we spoke to Fabiana Quinteiro, Acquisitions Coordinator at TV Cultura:
What type of content is most in demand by your audience today?
We are a TV channel. We have a general programming slot, but our main focus nowadays is the kids’ slot.
Monday through Friday, we dedicate more than 11 hours per day exclusively to kids. We have three primary targets: preschool, upper preschool, and elementary school-aged children.
So, from 0 to 11, 12 years old, we have content for them. We have animation and live action. Both work for us.
What kind of content, formats, or genres are they going to look for at industry events?
Our primary focus is on partnerships with major brands, but we occasionally need to acquire content to keep this slot updated.
Besides the kids’ content, we also look for documentaries, main wildlife and nature series, and factual series about science, nature, the environment, travel, and technology.
This type of content, which can be enjoyed by both parents and kids, is what we are always looking for because family-friendly content works very well for us.
