The event has unveiled its official selections for its multiple competitions, featuring titles from Movistar Plus+, Atresmedia and Globoplay.
Ahead of its new edition, which will take place on March 21 to the 28 in Lille, Series Mania has unveiled its selection of titles which will be competing this year, with several standouts from Spain and Latin America.
This year’s main trends, as the organization explained, are geopolitical series, family matters, and gender identity, with a new take on masculinity and bold, complex women taking center stage.

The standout from Iberoamerica in the international competition is Spanish drama Querer, an original Movistar Plus+ series in collaboration with Feelgood Media and Kowalski Films.
It will compete against Empathy (Canada), Generations (Denmark), Hal & Harper (US), Kabul (France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Greece), Long Bright River (US), Mussolini: Son of the Century (Italy, France), The Deal (Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, Belgium) and The German (Israel, US).
INTERNATIONAL PANORAMA COMPETITION
The international panorama competition has two standout entries from Iberoamerica. First is another Spanish series from Movistar Plus+, Celeste, coproduced with 100 Balas (The Mediapro Studio). Second is Brazilian series Raul Seixas: Let Me Sing, by Globoplay.
They will compete against A Life’s Worth (France, Sweden), At the end of the night (Iran), Family Matters (South Korea), Putain (Belgium), Requien for Selena (Norway), Reunion (UK), The Danish Woman (Iceland, France) and What it Feels Like for a Girl (UK).
SPECIAL SCREENINGS
Two Spanish titles will also have special screenings during the event: Los años nuevos (Movistar Plus+) and Mariliendre (Atresplayer).
Other special screenings will be for the French titles Ghosts: Fantomes en Heritage (Disney+), State of Alert (TF1) and Parliament S4 (France Télévisions).
