Presented at the last MIP Cancun, the drama got 20 millions reach on social media since the first day of its anouncement and was listed among the world’s trending topics on Twitter on the day of its premiere.
The local adaptation of the hit US series, House MD, Hekimoglu stars Timuçin Esen, Okan Yalabık, Ebru Özkan, Kaan Yıldırım, Damla Colbay and Aytaç Şaşmaz.
Written by Banu Kiremitçi Bozkurt and directed by Hülya Gezer, with Karga Seven’s Ömer Özgüner and Ümmü Burhan serving as executive producers, Hekimoglu will be on air every Tuesday on primetime at Kanal D.
Starring Hugh Laurie throughout its eight seasons, the original US version of the drama won five Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globes and a Peabody Award.
