It will be the fifth Turkish drama to reach Atresmedia’s main channel after Mujer (Woman), Mi hija (My Little Girl), Tierras amargas (Bitter Lands) and Inocentes (The Innocents).
After the recent releases of Tierras amargas (Bitter Lands) and Inocentes (The Innocents), Antena 3 is preparing the premiere of a new Turkish drama: Infiel, a Turkish adaptation of Doctor Foster that is marketed in the international market as A Woman Scorned.
Infiel will thus become the fifth Turkish drama to reach the main channel of Atresmedia after Mujer (Woman), Mi hija (My Little Girl), Tierras amargas (Bitter Lands) and Inocentes (The Innocents).
Although for now it is only being promoted as “coming soon”, it is likely that Infiel will occupy the prime time space that My daughter occupies today, already in its final stretch.
A Woman Scorned is distributed internationally by Madd Entertainment. It was produced by Medyapim and broadcast in Turkey by Kanal D.
It stars Cansu Dere and Caner Cindoruk.
The drama is based on the BBC series Doctor Foster, a gripping psychological drama about a woman who suspects her husband is having an affair. The popular BBC series won multiple awards in 2016, including several for Best Drama and a BAFTA Award for its lead actress.
Since then, Doctor Foster has been adapted for India, France and, most recently, South Korea, where it was the highest rated drama for cable television.
