The dubbing and subtitling studio has added a second location in Mexico City to join its studios in Cuernavaca.
The Kitchen Mexico has expanded its operations, adding a second prime location to its language localization service offerings.
Having joined The Kitchen family of language studios worldwide in 2017, the Cuernavaca, Mexico-based operation has been inundated with global Neutral Spanish work since the collaboration with Enrique Garduza’s existing studio became a reality.
In four years, the studio has added three new dubbing suites to its prime Cuernavaca location, a quick 45 car trip from Mexico City, working for such clients as Discovery, BBC and more.
“We chose Cuernavaca to initially locate The Kitchen Mexico because most city-based talent love to come here to work and play. It’s peaceful and gets everyone away from the hustle-bustle of the 10 million+ daily commuters in Mexico City,” Enrique Garduza, President of The Kitchen Mexico, explained.
“However, the Neutral Spanish language market has exploded in the past four years,” Ken Lorber, President of The Kitchen Worldwide, explained. “Enrique saw the need to work closely with voices that were existing on many series and wanted their commutes to be easier. And so, The Kitchen CDMX-Mexico City, is now a reality.”
Two dubbing suites have been operating to capacity since the studio’s Mexico City “soft” opening in December of 2021. All translation and mixing is done by TK Mexico’s headquarters in Cuernavaca.
“Now we have the best of both worlds”, Garduza concluded. “We’ve added to our studio capacity, and we’ve broadened our talent team. We are delighted with the results of our expansion.”
The Kitchen is the industry’s only Emmy Award Winning language localization studios, with operations in 14 countries worldwide. Additional Kitchen studios can be found in: France; Italy; Germany; Spain; MENA; Hungary; Turkey; Israel; Moldova; Russia; Brazil; Argentina and the US.
