Under the original title Kvodo, the Israeli drama from yes Studios has already been adapted in more than 14 territories, including the US and Spain, and will now arrive in the Brazilian market thanks to Teleimage, marking its first local version in Latin America.
According to K7’s latest Tracking the Scripted Giants Report, released last week, yes Studios’ Your Honor is the world’s joint number one scripted format for the 2020s. And its success shows no signs of slowing down. Hot on the heels of this announcement, yes Studios is excited to reveal a new deal with Brazil’s Teleimage that will see the award-winning series set for its first Latin American adaptation.
Brazil would be the 14th country to produce a local adaptation of Your Honor following versions in the US, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, South Korea, Turkey, Russia, India, Hong Kong, Ukraine, Poland and Greece.
Your Honor (S1 12×35’; S2 10×40’), originally titled Kvodo, is a compelling legal thriller telling the story of a respected senior judge whose son is involved in a hit-and-run accident, leading to difficult choices, moral dilemmas, and terrible consequences as he attempts to keep the crime a secret.
Teleimage is one of the largest production companies in Brazil. It has an enviable track record of both creating and adapting stand-out reality and factual entertainment formats such as Power Couple, The Farm and Record Island, and has also produced The American Guest for HBO Max Brazil. This drama series, based on actual events and starring Aidan Quinn, Trevor Eve, Chris Mason and Dana Delaney, follows the journey of former US President Teddy Roosevelt, alongside Brazilian army officer Candido Rondon, in a quest to explore unknow regions of the Brazilian Amazon.

The series has been an Official Selection at nearly 20 international festivals, including SerienCamp in Germany and the Chicago International TV Festival and was the Grand Prix Winner at Series Mania in 2017.
