TelevisaUnivision announced the premiere of Las hijas de la señora García, a production by José Alberto Castro, starring María Sorté, Oka Giner and Ela Velden, which will be broadcast on the Las estrellas channel, Monday through Friday at 9:30 p.m., starting November 11.
The new telenovela is de local version of the Turkish drama Mrs. Fazilet and Her Daughters, distributed internationally by Inter Medya.
The adaptation of Las hijas de la señora García has scripts written by Patricio Saiz, Ricardo Avilés and María Chávez. The stage directors are Salvador Garcini and Fez Noriega. The camera direction is by Bernardo Nájera and Mauricio Manzano. The director of photography is Gerónimo Denti.
Las hijas de la señora García tells the story of a mother (María Sorté) who is willing to do anything so that her daughters, Valeria (Oka Giner) and Mar (Ela Velden), have a different destiny than her own.
Mrs. García will fight to see her dreams reflected in her daughters and give them the highest standard of living. But in the struggle to achieve her obsessive goal, she will realize that to achieve what is truly valuable and important in life, she will have to put her ambition aside.
Las hijas de la señora García also features the performances of Guillermo García Cantú, Juan Diego Covarrubias, Brandon Peniche, Emmanuel Palomares, Mónica Dionne, Geraldine Bazán, Alex Perea, Luis Gatica, Roxana Castellanos, Arlette Pacheco, Macarena Miguel, Alejandra Jurado, Claudia Bouza and the leading actress Nuria Bages. In addition, it features a special performance by Laura Flores.
The theme song is performed by the successful singer and actress Gloria Trevi and is titled «Cueste lo que cueste». The lyrics and music of the song were written by Gloria Trevi herself, who performed it live on the day of the presentation of this new production.
