ViX’s original series will air in Poland, marking the beginning of a deal to bring more Spanish-language titles to the Polish market.
Travesuras de la niña mala is the ViX original series that opens the deal between TelevisaUnivision and Polish independent Video-On-Demand operator CDA.pl, which has bought the romantic series for broadcast on its CDA Premium streaming platform.
This is TelevisaUnivision’s first step towards positioning Spanish-language content in the Polish market using ViX’s successful series.
Travesuras de la Niña Mala is a romantic series adapted from Nobel Prize winner Mario Vargas Llosa’s acclaimed novel and is exclusively available on ViX starting in 2022, with new episodes every week. The series follows the epic love story of a daring and adventurous young woman and Ricardo, who is caught in a monotonous routine and whom she refers to as the “good boy.”
With the help of “the bad girl,” he gradually learns to get out of his element. The lives of the two characters intertwine over 40 years in encounters in Lima, Paris, Madrid, Tokyo, and London, among other cities. The “bad girl” challenges us to question life on autopilot, to transform ourselves, and to take more risks to feel alive and seek happiness in the exciting. It asks what life is worth without those moments of emotion from the perspective of a character who lives as if she were immortal.
The series stars Macarena Achaga (La ira de Dios, El padre de la novia, Luis Miguel, la serie) and Juan Pablo Di Pace (The Mattachine Family, Fuller House, A.D. The Bible Continues, Dallas, Mamma Mia).
