Televisa’s telenovelas will be exclusively on broadcast television in Brazil.
TelevisaUnivision has signed an agreement with Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão (SBT) to continue broadcasting its content on broadcast television in Brazil until 2028. This collaboration agreement guarantees the extension of their partnership and opens the door to new collaborations between the two companies.
This agreement guarantees the free-to-air broadcasting of Televisa’s telenovelas in Brazil and a collaboration for the international distribution of SBT’s successful telenovelas based on Televisa’s formats.
After months of negotiations, Guillermo Borensztein, the Senior Vice President of International Content Licensing and Co-Production at Televisa, announced the official extension of their historic alliance with SBT for free-to-air television in Brazil.
Borensztein expressed his happiness at the announcement, saying they are thrilled to confirm that Brazilian audiences will continue to enjoy their content for many years as they take their relationship with SBT to the next level.
“Televisa has always been a partner of SBT. We will continue to walk together,” said Daniela Beyruti, Vice President of SBT.
This agreement is part of a long-standing relationship between TelevisaUnivision and SBT, dating back over 40 years. This partnership contributes to Televisa’s telenovelas’ successful track record and strong positioning in the Brazilian market.
