Produced by Telemundo Global Studios to premiere in early 2021, Buscando a Frida stars Eduardo Santamarina, Ximena Herrera and Arap Bethke, along with an all-star cast.
Telemundo introduced the official cast of the suspense drama series Buscando a Frida (The Search For Frida) starring Eduardo Santamarina (El Señor de los Cielos; La Reina del Sur 2), Ximena Herrera (El Señor de los Cielos; El Hotel de los Secretos) and Arap Bethke (Club de Cuervos; Ugly Betty).
The ensemble of stars also includes Alejandra Barros, Rubén Zamora, Grettel Valdez, Jorge Luis Moreno and up-and-coming actress Victoria White as “Frida,” with a special appearance by Roberto Ballesteros.
The thrilling series is slated to premiere in early 2021.
Filled with intrigue, secrecy and shocking plot twists, Buscando a Frida tells the story of the Pons’ family and how their lives unexpectedly change after their eldest daughter, Frida, mysteriously disappears the night of her father’s birthday celebration. During the investigation, everyone becomes a suspect, and as many family secrets and lies start to unravel, the family is exposed as being far from perfect.
The stellar cast is completed by Fabiola Guajardo, Alberto Casanova, Gloria Peralta, German Bracco, Karla Carrillo, Axel Arenas, Jorge Luis Vázquez, Ximena Martínez, Mikel Mateos, Ivanna Castro and Valery Sais.
A Telemundo Global Studios production, the series is directed by Carlos Villegas, Felipe Aguilar and Mauricio Corredor, with Marcos Santana, Ximena Cantuarias and Monica Vizzi as executive producers, and script adaptation by Sandra Velasco.
Buscando a Frida is a modern-day adaptation of Pablo Illanes’ 2009 Chilean drama ¿Dónde está Elisa? (Where is Elisa?) which was remade by Telemundo in 2010, becoming the most watched US Spanish-language series in its timeslot.
