This Monday, Telemundo finally announced the premiere date for its highly anticipated period super series Malverde: El Santo Patrón.
The series will hit its screen on Tuesday, September 28 at 10:00 PM.
Starring the renowned Mexican actor and singer Pedro Fernández as Malverde, the international cast also includes Carolina Miranda and Mark Tacher, with the stellar participation of Alejandro Nones, Luis Felipe Tovar and Isabella Castillo.
The cast is completed by Ivonne Montero, Sofía Castro, Miguel de Miguel, Ramón Medina, Alan Slim, Claudio Roca, Mariaca Semprún, María del Carmen Félix, Adrián Makala, Candela Márquez, Humberto Elizondo, Salvador Sánchez, Lukas Urkijo and Kenneth Lagunes.
Based on true events, the electrifying production centers on the life of Jesus Malverde, who became a legendary figure, defender of the people, the innocent and the dispossessed. Filled with action and romance, and accented by stately 19th century costumes, this untold story will take audiences on a journey back in time as they discover who the man behind the legend was, and whether he really was a saint or a bandit.
Created by Luis Zelkowicz (El Señor de los Cielos, El Chema), Malverde: El Santo Patrón is an original production by Telemundo Global Studios, under the direction of Carlos Bolado, Miguel Varoni and Sergio Osorio. Marcos Santana, Karen Barroeta and David Posada are executive producers.
