Following successful launches in Mexico and the UK, Starz’ international streaming serviceis now available through Roku TV in Brazil for a US$ 2.80 monthly subscription.
Starz, a Lionsgate company, announced today that STARZPLAY, its international premium streaming service, is now available on Roku TV models in Brazil.
Consumers will be able to enjoy a 7-day free trial of this new service when subscribing through their Roku device, after which a monthly subscription will cost R$ 14.90 (US$ 2.80).
STARZPLAY provides Roku users with access to an exclusive line-up of premium programing including STARZ Original Series Vida starring Melissa Barrera, The Spanish Princess and the highly-anticipated upcoming series Power Book II: Ghost starring Mary J. Blige; curated content such as the upcoming dramatic TV retelling of Umberto Eco’s international best-selling novel The Name of the Rose starring John Turturro, the psychological horror series from Stephen King and J.J. Abrams Castle Rock, starring Lizzy Caplan and Tim Robbins, the award-winning series The Act, starring Academy Award Winner Patricia Arquette and Joey King; and a blockbuster movie library featuring thousands of titles.

STARZPLAY also serves as the first Roku channel partner in Brazil to offer Roku Pay, which allows Roku users the convenience of being able to pay for the STARZPLAY subscription directly through their Roku device and in Reais. Roku Pay just launched in Brazil on April 20, and to enroll, users just need to add their credit card information to their Roku account. Customers who sign up for STARZPLAY are automatically enrolled for a subscription after a free 7-day trial.
