Bad Roads and The Inglorious Serfs will be showcased along other Ukrainian films during the fundraiser event, which will take place from April 29 to May 1 to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine’s children displaced by war.

Aimed at aiding those affected by the devastating war taking place in Ukraine, the event Artists for Ukraine is a unified front of individuals from across the world devoted to providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine’s children displaced by war, while preserving the culture and sovereignty of Ukraine.

In collaboration with the Ukrainian State Film Agency, the fundraiser event will take place on April 29 to May 1, showcasing Ukrainian films, Q&As with Producers, Directors, and Actors, exhibitions of Ukrainian photo art, paintings, NFTs, meetings with Ukrainian artists and live performances.

The three-day event will take place at the Palm Springs Cultural Center – Formerly known as the Camelot Theaters.

To support the cause, Kristi Films will be showcasing two titles during the event. The first is Bad Roads, which will be showcased on April 30th at 7:00pm, and portrays five real stories of the residents of Donbass and the Ukrainian soldiers whose lives blurr across both sides of the dividing line. It has been nominated for the Grand Prize at the Venice Film Festival International Critics’ Week, and won numerous awards, including the Verona Film Club Award at Venice Film Festival, 5 Ukrainian Film Academy Awards and 3 Ukrainian Film Critics’ Awards.

The second title is The Inglorious Serfs, which will be screened on May 1 at 1:00pm. The film asks what if Taras Shevchenko, foremost Ukrainian poet, prose writer, painter and playwright of the 19th century put down his pen and took a samurai sword into his hands? The series won the Ukranian Academy Award for Best Make-Up, and was nominated for 3 Ukranian Academy Awards, as well as for Best Actor at the Ukrainian Film Critics Awards.
