2024 marks the 35th anniversary of the historic Sportel Monaco event, which will take place October 28-30.

Sportel closed an unprecedented day in Buenos Aires with its first foray into Latin America, which hosted more than 400 participants from some 220 companies, 45% C-level attendees, 28% content buyers, more than 60 news companies, and 31 countries represented.

Of the countries attending, 45% were from Latin America, 20% from North America, 30% from Europe, and 5% from other countries such as Asia and the Middle East.

Buenos Aires, the vibrant capital and revered soccer center with a strong sports culture, was the dynamic backdrop for a new edition of Sportel dedicated to the Americas. Organized for the first time in a Spanish-speaking country, on May 14-15 in Argentina, the event brought together key decision-makers from the international sports business industry from North and South America and the rest of the world.

“We sincerely thank all our esteemed participants, exhibitors, partners, and speakers who followed us in this new adventure and contributed to the success of this first Sportel in Argentina. A huge thank you to our expert regional event partners, Lions Sports & Media, J&S EG, and ProEnter, for hosting the event,” says Laurent Puons, CEO of Sportel.

Sportel continues its quest for new territories by driving international development. After Bali in February, Sportel moved South for a new regional market dedicated to the Americas, offering new opportunities for the Sportel community to meet with business leaders from the Latam region, who do not usually attend the flagship event, Sportel Monaco.

Over two days of an exciting tango of talks and Sportel business meetings, the event welcomed more than 400 participants from some 220 companies representing 31 countries.

“South America longed for an event that would bring together the top leaders in the sports business world. With our partners J&S and ProEnter, we are delighted to have made it a reality, allowing our South American partners and counterparts to meet and do business with the Sportel community,” explains Martin Rey, Vice President of Lions Sports and Media.

2024 marks the 35th anniversary of the historic Sportel Monaco event, which will take place October 28-30. While exhibiting companies have already booked 80% of the floor space, online registration for attendees will open on May 28.
