Sphere Abacus is expanding the international distribution of The Game with the sale of the first season to Filmin for Spain and Portugal, ahead of the premiere of its second season in the United Kingdom.
Sphere Abacus has announced a raft of new international sales for The Game, including a deal with Filmin for the first season in Spain and Portugal. The agreement comes ahead of the premiere of the series’ second season on UK broadcaster 5 this Tuesday, September 1.
The new sales for Season 1, comprising four one-hour episodes, also include TV2 in Norway, RUV in Iceland, Disney+ in the UK and Ireland, Canal+ and Polar+ in France, French-speaking Europe and Africa, as well as Romania and Dutch-speaking Benelux; Mystery Channel in Japan, yes in Israel, Cosmote TV in Greece and LRT in Lithuania.
These deals add to previously announced sales for Season 1 to BritBox in North America, Foxtel Group in Australia, YLE in Finland, SVT in Sweden, Pickbox in Central and Eastern Europe, Virgin Media in Ireland and Sky New Zealand.
