Arcadia is just one of SkyShowtime’s growing slate of Spanish originals, which includes the recently launched psychological thriller Shades (Matices) and upcoming series Nails.

SkyShowtime has announced that Arcadia, a new Spanish SkyShowtime Original series starring William Levy (Montecristo) and Paula Echevarría (Velvet) will be coming to the platform later this year.

Arcadia is produced by Arcadia La Serie (Secuoya Studios) in association with ViX and SkyShowtime. Directed by Jorge Saavedra, written by Lidia Fraga and Jacobo Díaz, and executive produced by David Martínez, Sergio Pizzolante, Carlos Portela, William Levy and Jeff Goldberg.

Arcadia tells the story of Pablo, who has it all — a quiet life, a close-knit community and a son he adores. As the coach of a Canarian youth wrestling team, he’s known for his kindness and calm demeanour in the peaceful town of Arcadia. No one knows the truth about Pablo’s dark, dangerous past. Once living on the edge in Mexico, he escaped his violent life to protect his son Bruno. Becoming a father changed everything for him — but running away from his old life came at a cost. His wife, who he left behind, has never forgiven him. Now she’s back, ready to shatter the world he’s built. As old secrets resurface and tension boils, Pablo is forced to confront his past. Can he protect his son and hold onto the paradise he created, or will his former life destroy everything he loves?

Kai Finke, Chief Content Officer at SkyShowtime, said: “We can’t wait for audiences to discover Arcadia, our new SkyShowtime Original series. An impactful story that has all the ingredients to engage from start to finish: action, love and revenge, combined with a compelling cast.”
