The consultancy firm presented its traditional Fresh TV Fiction session, with several mentions of productions from the Turkish and Spanish-speaking markets.

During the third day of Mipcom in Cannes, the international consultancy firm The Wit presented another of its traditional Fresh TV sessions, this time dedicated to fiction productions.

This year’s list included titles from all over the world, highlighting several entries from the Spanish-speaking world, as well as Turkish dramas.

From Spain, the consultancy firm highlighted Las hijas de la criada, the Atresmedia fiction adaptation of the successful novel by Sonsoles Ónega. “The inclusion of Las hijas de la criada in The Wit’s select list represents a new international endorsement of Atresmedia’s fiction, which reinforces its prestige and leadership in the global audiovisual market,” said the Spanish group.

Also highlighted were La encrucijada, the Secuoya Studios and Ay Yapim adaptation for Antena3 of the Turkish drama Brave and Beautiful; and Neuer, the crime drama distributed by Onza Distribution.

In the Turkish drama segment, another notable title on the list was Halef, the drama distributed by Inter Medya, produced by Most Production, and one of the titles in the distributor’s catalog that is presenting at Mipcom.

In Latin America and the Hispanic market, the list included Globoplay’s original Brazilian miniseries Días Perfeitos (Perfect Days); and Netflix’s Colombian series Estado de Fuga 1986.

Other notable titles on the list include the vertical drama Breaking the Ice; Red Alert from Keshet International; Golden Boys from Viaplay Content Distribution; The Big Fuck Up from About Premium Content; Cooper & Fry from Studio TF1; I Fought the Law from All3Media International; In Flight from Fremantle; Riot Women, from Mediawan; and Puberty and Shadow Leaks, from Beta Film.
