With more than 53 million hours watched since its launch, the production, starring Gabriel Leone, was the most-watched series worldwide and also in Brazil last week.
Now available on Netflix, Senna shows, over six episodes and for the first time in fiction, Ayrton’s path of overcoming, disagreements, joys and sorrows, exploring his personality and personal relationships. The story begins with the beginning of the three-time Formula 1 champion’s sporting career, from karting to his move to England to compete in Formula Ford, and continues to the tragic accident in Imola, Italy, during the San Marino Grand Prix.
With general direction by Vicente Amorim, who also serves as showrunner, and direction by Julia Rezende, Senna is produced by Gullane and with the support of Senna Brands and the driver’s family. The miniseries is the only Brazilian production nominated for the 2025 Critics Choice Awards, competing in the category “Best Foreign Language Series.”
