The Turkish group’s Sales Director for CEE spoke to ttvnews at Natpe Budapest about the catalog they’re presenting for the international market, spanning formats and dramas with proven track record.

Known for their unique formats and successful dramas, Global Agency made its way to Natpe Budapest to showcase a hit catalog for international audiencies.

“Buyers are always looking for fresh ideas”, Senay Tas, Sales Director CEE at Global Agency said to ttvnews at the event in Budapest. “It’s actually formats they look for when they need something different from what’s out there. Entertainment, cost-effective shows with twists”, she explained.

And when it comes to this type of formats, Global Agency has a catalog full of options to choose from. Most recently, they’re presenting Joker, which has already found audiences in the region.

“In this region, people are still looking for formats with a good track record. It’s normal to want to see pilots”, she explained. “Our quiz show Joker was recently adapted in Croatia and now it will be produced in Serbia in September. We are very proud of it. It’s a quiz show coming out directly from Turkey.”

Over on the drama side, the executive explained the European region is very fond of traditional stories. “In terms of dramas, this region is still very much into melodramas. Romantic comedies too”, she explained.

“In our slate, we are mainly pushing our drama Red Roses, which is very different from other Turkish dramas that have aired internationally and in Turkey. A series on a different level, concerning problems in society, as well as love and romance.”
