Movistar+ announced this week the start of filming for a new original series: comedy Supernormal, produced by Secuoya for the Spanish platform.
The series was created and written by Marta Sánchez (Aída, Allí abajo) and Olatz Arroyo (Allí abajo, El mejor verano de mi vida) and directed by Emilio Martínez-Lázaro (Ocho apellidos vascos).
It stars Miren Ibarguren with Diego Martín and Gracia Olayo.
It will have six 25-minute episodes and filming will last eight weeks on real locations in Madrid and Spain. It will premiere in 2020.
Synopsis:
Supernormal speaks in a comedic tone about what it means to be head of an investment bank and mother of a family in the 21st century. The lines that separate work and everything else do not exist: Patricia (Miren Ibarguren) takes her work home and takes her family to the office. She is intelligent, funny, loyal, tender, ambitious, and unbearably demanding.
Her husband Alfonso (Diego Martín), children and employees adore and hate her in equal parts. Patricia knows no limits, but when she skips them and the imagination is not enough to solve the problems, her secretary Marisol (Gracia Olayo) and her family will be essential to find solutions.
Supernormal comes to show what everyone knows: you cannot have children, husband, parents, parents-in-law, bosses, employees, great wicks and have everyone like you. Everyone knows that, except Patricia Picón.
