The streaming aggregator is now offering access to the 24/7 live feeds of Bloomberg Television, its enhanced Bloomberg TV+ (excluding the US) and its next-gen, global streaming news channel, Quicktake.
Streaming aggregator ScreenHits TV (SHTV) will break into the live linear channel space globally by offering access to the 24/7 live feeds of Bloomberg Television, its enhanced Bloomberg TV+ (excluding the US) and its next-gen, global streaming news channel, Quicktake.
Rose Hulse, CEO-Founder of ScreenHits, today announced the linear channels will be made available in the coming weeks to subscribers across SHTV’s newly enhanced desktop platform – in the process of being rolled out throughout its territories – and iOS mobile/tablet app now available via the Apple Store and Amazon Fire TV Stick. The app will also soon be offered on Google Chromecast, Android phones, Metz, other connected TVs and new groundbreaking content platforms.
Bloomberg Television, seen in more than 60 major territories, will serve as a major component of a streaming news package in development by ScreenHits to complement its leading OTT entertainment services. Varying by territory, the news package will also include live channels and on-demand content available on the BBC iPlayer – an existing content partner of ScreenHits in the UK – and other leading global TV news brands expected to follow.
“Access to trusted global news is critical today and Bloomberg continues to be a premier provider of data-driven insights that help viewers make informed decisions throughout their day,” said M. Scott Havens, Chief Growth Officer and Global Head of Strategic Partnerships, Bloomberg Media.
“We’re excited to have Bloomberg TV, Bloomberg TV+ and Quicktake on ScreenHits TV, giving viewers access to important stories and interviews with top newsmakers across all of our services.”
Hulse commented, “We are incredibly excited and proud to add this brilliant, forward-looking financial media organization to our widening array of brand name news and entertainment content partnerships. From its start decades ago with Bloomberg Terminals to OTT today, Bloomberg is known for embracing new technologies enabling smart, growth-driven models – each designed to make it easy for its massive worldwide base of subscribers to access its essential business and capital markets content wherever they congregate.”
Bloomberg Television delivers global business and markets news, data, analysis, and video to the world.
Bloomberg TV+ is the first global 24-hour business and financial news network, with a data-rich display of graphics created for a 4K UHD experience.
Bloomberg Quicktake is a global streaming and social video network for a new generation of leaders and professionals, covering the biggest stories across business, technology, climate, culture, politics, society and personal finance.
The Bloomberg Media content partnership comes on the heels of ScreenHits entrance into Europe’s largest territory via the app with Germany’s Joyn, the ProSiebenSat.1 Media and Discovery joint VOD entertainment venture; and, most recently, with A+E Networks Germany’s HISTORY Play and Crime+Investigation Play for factual content across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
ScreenHits, in the midst of a rapid worldwide roll out throughout much of Europe, the Indian sub-continent, Africa, Latin and North America, officially launched this past spring following nearly a year of beta testing in the U.S. and UK. The service moved into Germany this past July, with plans to launch over the next several months in Mexico, Argentina and Columbia.
Through its free desktop site (www.screenhits.tv), users will be able to integrate Bloomberg TV Network live channels onto a single premium app for a low monthly fee (varying by territory). The app offers on-demand content and the live channels to subscribers, along with other unique features including the ability to see what their friends are watching, what they like and to lock out children from accessing adult content via their parents’ accounts.
SHTV will also soon launch customized packages across its growing list of territories and new global platforms, giving users 25%-plus discounts on premium streaming packages delivered in one consolidated monthly bill.
