Top-Rated Turkish Series Coming to Argentina, Uruguay, and Peru after Record-Setting Run in Spain
The hit series A Mother’s Love debuted on Turkey’s TV8 last winter, started its record-setting run in Spain this spring, and is now set to launch in LatAm. Recent sales to Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Peru bring A Mother’s Love to 13 markets across Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
A Mother’s Love features Selin Sezgin, who starred in all five seasons of the international hit series Elif. Sezgin plays Nazli, a poor woman whose long-lost twin died in a car accident before the two could meet. Her sister’s child has a rare heart defect, and the girl’s father fears that she won’t survive the loss of her mother. Instead, he hires Nazli to pose as the girl’s mother until the child is old enough for life-saving surgery. Nazli accepts the position, but life in the luxurious mansion turns out to be anything but a fairy tale.
A Mother’s Love began broadcast on Valentine’s Day, where it airs under the title Canım Annem on Turkey’s top-rated channel, TV8. Three months later it launched in Spain under the title Querida Madre, where it set records for Spain’s Divinity channel. Soon the series will be released as Amor de Mama in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay via the El Trece network and in Peru on Latina TV.
Today’s announcement brings the total number of markets for A Mother’s Love to 13, a diverse list including Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Israel, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
