If There’s Room for Two by TVE and Breaking the Taboo by Globosat were two of the big winners of the event, which highlights diverse and inclusive productions. All the winners, up next.
At an event hosted this Monday at the Carlton Hotel, Reed Midem announced the winners of the Mipcom Diversify TV Excellence Awards 2019.
The awards, which are celebrating their third edition this year, is devoted to defending and promoting diverse and inclusive content that can have an impact on big audiences.
And this year’s winners include a title from Spain and one from Brazil.
On the one hand, the show If There’s Room for Two by RTVE in Spain won in the Representation of Disability, Non-Scripted category.

Produced by RTVE in collaboration with Onza Entertainment and Fisherman Media, the documentary is a trip between two friends, Pablo Pineda and El Langui, visiting the best restaurants in Spain and overseas.
In addition, Globo’s documentary series, Breaking the Taboo, with its episode, Racismo e Resistencia, won in the Representation of Race and Ethnicity, Non-Scripted category.
Breaking the Taboo – Racismo y resistencia
Produced by Globosat Programadora and Spray Filmes, the show investigates the differences in social and racial inequality in Brazil, exploring the obstacles locals have had to overcome 130 years after the abolition of slavery.
