The format already has eight international versions and will premiere soon on RTVE.

RTVE is preparing Dog House, the Spanish adaptation of an exciting international format that highlights dog adoption and will soon be released in Spain.

Produced in collaboration with BoxFish, the new format, which has already begun casting for its first participants, will take us into the daily life of a shelter, where a dedicated team works tirelessly to find the perfect home for each dog.

Dog House, a format created by Five Mile Films and distributed by All3media, which has eight international versions, including the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, and the Netherlands, invites viewers to discover a magical place where families, couples, and people of all walks of life seek a faithful friend in search of a new life.

Through robotic cameras, the program follows the emotional journey of each case: from the animal’s arrival at the center, to the first meeting, full of uncertainty and hope, with its potential new family, and, if all goes well, the magical moment of adoption.

But it’s not just dogs who need affection. The people who come to the shelter bring their own life stories and, always, a desire to give and receive love. The Dog House focuses on the special bonds that form between humans and dogs, which change the lives of both forever.

With this production, RTVE reinforces its commitment to responsible adoption and animal welfare, at a time when more than 100,000 dogs are waiting for a home in Spain.

Very soon, viewers will be able to be moved by a program full of tender barking, second chances, and beautiful stories between two species destined to love each other.
